As Far As I Can Tell

One more year

Today I’m 26 years old and passing the 25 mark makes me a little nervous. It feels like I have to get things going; that I need to accelerate. It’s not that I’m slacking or lacking anything, it’s just one of those birthday feelings. I tend to freak out about time passing, but truthfully I’m pretty happy with where I am.

It’s been a good birthday, full of homemade chili and thoughtful, perfect presents. I’m at the Rocket Star right now, using the laptop that I always forget I have. The music is Monoglot and the weather is slipping slowly into autumn. It’s a really comfortable night.

Hey birthday boy, I didn’t realize you were 26 when I saw you yesterday… but in retrospect it TOTALLY makes sense! You MUST be 26, there’s no other explanation! Congratulumationiary!

Happy B-day, Simon. Your giant robot suit is on it’s way from Japan.
